1976 Alfa Romeo Spider

Last updated on June 15, 2021

Todays car is a 1976 Alfa Romeo Spider finished in Signal Red with a new Black interior and convertible top & boot. It is owned by our friend Phil Caliva and is for sale on Bring A Trailer (BAT). It is powered by a 2 liter in line 4 cylinder, Dual Over Head Cam (DOHC), engine producing 110 hp and transferring that power through a 5-speed manual transmission. Delivering that power to the rear wheels through 4,56 t0 1 rear end gear ratio. Campagnolo wheels are mounted with 14″ Pirelli P4 tires. Sport springs have replaced the original equipment . The sport springs handle the Santa Monica Mountains and the San Gabriel Mountains with ease. To slow it down there are disc brakes in all four corners. Twin Weber 40mm DCOE carburetors and an electric fuel pump have replaced the stock SPICA fuel injection system. What are a DCOE carburetors? DCOE stands for Doppio Corpo Orizzontale E which means ‘double body horizontal carburetors. The hand painted partial Seal of Milan, Italy on the hood is a great personal touch.

This is a very nice sports car with a great look. Ready for a trip to the beach, or the Cars and Coffee circuit or to Woodley Park for the French and Italian car show. I can imagine parking with all the other Alfa Romeo Spiders at Woodley Park in Van Nuys, CA and walking over to the Gelato truck for a nice lemon ice or an expresso with my fellow Alfa Romeo owners . Does it get any better than that?

It is For Sale by auction on Bring A Trailer (BAT) by our friend Phil Caliva. and it is offered at No Reserve!!! To see or follow this auction click the link below.
