1970 Plymouth Barracuda

Last updated on July 19, 2022

Todays car is a 1970 Plymouth Barracuda and is owned by Bernice Tyndall. It is finished in a Custom Candy Apple paint. I saw this amazing car at the women’s car show at the Automobile Driving Museum (ADM) in El Segundo. It is setup for drag racing. It is powered by a 604 cu in, 10 Liter, Hemi King Krate V8 engine topped with a BDS 10-71 Supercharger with 2 – 4 barrel Demon 925 cfm carburetors and delivering 1000 hp. Transferring that power through a Lenco 4-speed transmission and delivering that power to the rear 29X18 Mickey Thompson Sportsman tires mounted on 15X12 E-T wheels. The front 14×5.5 wheels have Mickey Thompson Sportsman front tires. To help slow this monster down are 12 inch Wilwood disc brakes at all four corners. You may have seen this car at Ruby’s in Redondo Beach. What a awesome looking car. I think this car just says Bad Ass.

Thanks for riding along. Frank

This is what a Lenco 4-speed transmission looks like.
