1967 Ford Mustang

Last updated on July 11, 2021

Todays car is a 1967 Ford Mustang which is a street spot on 78th St.. It looks like the finish is done in Ford Candy Apple Red, but because it is so dull and dirty it is really hard to tell. It looks to be powered by 289 cu in, 4.7 L, maybe a 271 HP.  There were 3 transmission choices a 3 and 4 speed manual and a 3 speed Automatic transmission. To slow it down it had self adjusting, dual hydraulic system with drum brakes all around. Of the total of 472,121 1967 Mustangs that were built, there were 356,271 hardtops built. Roughly 75%. MSRP for the hardtop was $2,567.00. This mustang does not look like it gets taken out very often. The car looks to be all original and is all there. This car needs a substantial amount of love$$$.

The 1967 model year Mustang was the first significant redesign of the original model. The major mechanical feature was to allow the installation of a big-block V8 engine. The overall size, interior and cargo space were increased. Exterior trim changes included concave taillights, side scoop. The 1967 model added square rear-view mirrors, and the usual yearly wheel and gas cap changes.

Thanks for riding along. Frank
