1966 Alfa Romeo


Todays car is a 1966 Alfa Romeo 2600 Sprint Coupe is finished in Rosso Farina and own by Phil Caliva. It is powered by a 157. cu in, 2.58, l.iter in line 6 cylinder engine with DOHC and 3 Solex 44PHH carburetors. It produces 145 hp and transfers that power through a 5 speed manual, fully synchronous, transmission. Delivering that power to the rear wheels through 4.78 t0 1 standard rear end gear ratio. There was also an optional 4.10 to 1 gear ratio. To slow this baby down there are power Girling disc brakes in the front and big drum brakes in the rear. The top speed of 124 mph with a 0 to 60 time of 9.6 seconds.

In the 1960s Alfa Romeo became famous for its small cars and models specifically designed for the Italian police and Carabinieri among them was the 2600 Sprint. 

Great looking car to beat around town, canyon runs, or coffee and cars on the weekends.
