1958 Mercedes-Benz 219

Today’s car is a 1958 Mercedes-Benz 219 4 door saloon (sedan) done in Elfenbein (Ivory). The engine is a naturally aspirated petrol, 2.2L, single overhead camshaft 6 cylinder with 2 valves per cylinder developing 89 HP. The carburator was a Solex 32. Transferring its power to the rear wheels through an 4-speed manual transmission, shift lever on steering column. The rear axel gear ratio was 3.90:1. The The body style was nicknamed after its introduction, because it employed Ponton, or pontoon styling, a prominent styling.   This project car need a lot of love $$$.
