1953 Nash Healey Convertible

Today’s car is a 1953 Nash Healey Convertible that I photographed this car at The best of France and Italy at Woodley Park in Van Nuys. The car is finished in Green with a brown interior. It is powered by a 140 hp, 253 cu in, inline 6 engine, with twin Cater carburetors, mated to a 3-speed manual transmission with overdrive (OD). The final drive without OD is 4.1:1 and with OD is 2.87:1. Slowing this beauty down are 10″ drum brakes in all 4-corners. It has independent front suspension with trailing link with coil springs and stabilized bar. The rear suspension is  a live rear axle with coil springs.

The total 0f Nash produced in 1953 was 121,793 units with 166 of them being Nash Healey Pinin Farina of which 104 were convertibles. The 1952 through 1954 models were built in Italy by Pinin Farina. The MSRP was $6000.00. With a published top speed of 103 mph with a 0-60 mph time of 10.2 seconds. This car sold about a year ago for $82,500.00 on Bring A Trailer (BAT). These are rare cars that would be fun to drive and own. This is a great sports car to take to car shows, Cars & Coffee events, or just cruising to the beach. Thank you for riding along. Frank

I liked the directional indicator switch mounted on the left of the dashboard.
