Last updated on May 19, 2023

Todays car is in our newly extended hood. The newly extended hood is now all outdoor events in Southern California area have since October, 2020!!!  Actually we were at The Point in El Segundo at the north east corner of Sepulveda Blvd and Rosecrans Blvd.  The Manhattan Beach Cars & Coffee is on the last Saturday of the month.  This car is spectacular.  I posted this car on October 20, 2020 when I was just doing my email blog. This car is well worth a re-post for those who missed it.

Todays car is an 1939 Alfa Romeo 6C 2500 Sport Touring Superleggera Berlinetta and is finished in Black. This is one of only 13 built, but, even more rare it is only one of five examples built with the top triple-carb “SS” engine. This car is powered by 149 cu in, 2.44 liter, dual overhead cam, with three Weber carburetors, topping off this inline 6 cylinder engine that is producing 105 hp. Transferring that power through 4 speed manual transmission. The 2500 was a faster Alfa Romeo and was the first to reach 100 mph. It has 4-wheel independent suspension, and 4-wheel hydraulic drum brakes. In 2013 at Amelia Island this car was valued at $1,500,000 – $1,750,000 USD. You never know what you are going to find at a local Cars and Coffee. Just Beautiful!!!

Thanks for riding along. Frank
